All of the quilts in this show were designed and pieced by Donna Tolley of Franklin, WV. The quilting itself was done by several different people, as indicted below and on signs attached to each piece in the exhibit. Donna also plays the piano and has participated in several Arts Council concerts. She is a member of the Sew and Sew Quilters Guild in Franklin and the Log Cabin Quilters Guild in Elkins, WV. Read about Donnas show in The Recorder, 8 July 2005, p. 13-14, in an article with six photos by James Jacenich. The article and three of the photos are also available in The Recorder Online, Quilted patterns show off mathematical precision.
It is with great sadness that we learned of Donna Tolleys death on 26 October 2005, only three months after this show. She also participated in the Arts Councils Good Friends Concerts and other events. She will be missed by many. Her obituary from The Recorder.
