Good Friends Make Good Music

Last Update: 5 February 2006

Every year a group of local musicians gathers to play and sing classical music for the community. Appropriately named, the 2005 Good Friends Make Good Music concert was presented on November 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Church of the Good Shepherd, south of Blue Grass, Virginia.

Debbi Stephenson, Char Sweet and Todd Musick represent the true, everyday residents of the county. Jessica Glendinning Chapin and Robin Smith have roots here and have grown up as part of the musical community. Robin’s college friend, Katie Kjellman comes because she loves Highland County and enjoys performing in the beautiful acoustics of the church. The Good Friends concert is an enjoyable game of musical chairs with performers changing partners and instruments.
